It's a Girl!!! Cupcakes for Adriana's baby shower

I created these cupcakes for a former student of mine who is having a baby girl due in December. I filled half of my piping bag with white icing and then the other half with pink icing to get this effect. I absolutely loved the way they turned out!!! Congrats Adriana!!

Ashley's baby shower cake....

I had the honor and privilege to use my talents to make a cake for my second daughter Ashley's babyshower. I had no idea of what to do nor did Ashley give me any ideas. All she said was she wanted a pregnant lady on it. Because I didn't have much time the cake below is what I came up with. The mommy to be and the party guest loved it!! Thanks again babygirl for allowing me to make the cake for your special day! Love you lots.

The many faces of the Pink Panther

My son,the future Chef, challenged me to make a cake for him one day. He said he would find a picture for me to put on the cake. When he gave me the picture my reply was, "All of them?" He laughed and said, "Yes!" So the pictures you will see is my attempt to recreate the picture he gave to me. I didn't do too bad if I do say so myself!!!!

Sic Em Boy!!! My try at a Georgia Bulldog cake

Things this week have slowed down at bit. There were a lot of events (Gay pride parade, NASCAR racing, Falcons vs. Ravens...GO RAVENS!!! and college football) happening in the Atlanta this week so I decided to make a cake to celebrate one of them. I decided to make a Georgia Bulldog cake to celebrate the game that was happening here against Boise State. I always get asked to make a Georgia Tech cake but never a Georgia Bulldog cake. This one was a bit difficult because 1. I chose to decorate an 8 inch round, 2. It was very difficult to put so much detail on an 8 inch round, and 3. Did I say I shouldn't have used an 8 inch round? (LOL)... The cake was Red Velvet with Buttercream icing that I sprayed red. Anyway, no matter the size cake pan I used I think I did a pretty amazing job. When my children asked who the cake was for and I told them that I made it for them they were too excited! Needless to say, the cake only lasted 24 hours.

Mickey Mouse Cake

This cake was created just because my son, Nick, asked me to make him a cake. He told me that if I made him a cake that I had to put a picture on it so that I could put it on my blog site. Since I absolutely adore Mickey Mouse it was a no brainer!!! When he got home from school (Culinary school that is, LOL) he said the cake was too pretty to cute. Needless to say, Mickey only lasted one day!!!!1

Business has truly began to pick up and I am not complaining! This cake was created from a 16 year old young lady who is a cheerleader and who absolutetly adores Hello Kitty! What better way to celebrate her on her birthday than to have Hello Kitty wearing a cheerleading uniform!!! Happy Sweet 16! Enjoy!!!!
